Report from Rawnet reveals why gamification is the future of digital engagement

by Ellie Hanson

June 24, 2022

Rawnet, a leading digital agency, today shares the top insights from its recent report that explores high-growth UK companies who are incorporating gamification and self-tracking technologies to engage users, improve the eCommerce experience, and bolster internal efficiency and productivity.

Working in partnership with Beauhurst, a searchable database of the UK’s high-growth companies, Rawnet has identified ambitious businesses within the gamification space that are growing rapidly or have high-growth potential. These companies have also collectively raised £1.03 billion of equity investment over the last ten years, indicating the level of innovation occurring among this new generation of companies.

Gamification is disrupting the industry by moulding consumer behaviours and expectations towards brands and their digital offerings. Therefore, it is vital to understand the opportunities available to organisations in relation to engaging and retaining customers with these technologies. Rawnet’s report examines businesses that are tapping into powerful gamification tools to build customer loyalty, including Loyalty Lion, Elvie, YuLife, TruRating and Immersive Labs.

It’s become increasingly apparent that gamification is a powerful tool that can encourage positive change for consumers with small and regular rewards that result in a longer-term impact. Rawnet’s report revealed that this can also have a significant impact on building and maintaining consumer engagement, ultimately improving a brand’s eCommerce experience in today’s saturated market. Gamification also has a role to play in a wider strategy to increase customer acquisition, as the best way to acquire new customers is to further engage existing ones and build a community of brand advocates.

Commenting on the Gamification Report, Gyles Marshall, Commercial Director at Rawnet said, “Gamification has been around for a while, but it’s interesting to see how rapidly it's evolving recently, and how brands are adopting this into all areas of their business strategy. Not only does it have a range of implementations that can help improve business growth, but it also can increase customer lifetime value, internal business efficiency and overall employee satisfaction. Our report provides decision-makers with the most up-to-date knowledge so that they can position their organisation to leverage successful gamification strategies in the current, fast-paced and digital market.”
