EE billboards in Manchester light up common routes home after dark
The mobile network operator is illuminating the favored nocturnal haunts of Mancunians with a helpful digital out-of-home campaign offering travel updates to revelers.
EE lights up the streets of Manchester with 'Stay Connected' billboards
‘Stay Connected’ by Saatchi & Saatchi sees EE employ Ocean’s network of digital billboards to promote the utility of its latest data plan, which enables people to remain online even after exceeding their monthly limit.
Harnessing real-time geolocated travel information, the after-hours push ensures no one is left in the dark between the hours of 20:00 and 03:00.

Franki Goodwin, CCO at Saatchi & Saatchi, commented: “Ocean’s Outdoor Digital Creative Competition allowed us to harness the technological capabilities of DOOH to play a really meaningful role in a city’s nightlife and the journeys home for people who live there.”
42 billboards across the city center will relay live taxi, train, tram and bus schedules, including nine large format screens employing augmented reality.

The late-night campaign is inspired by the city council’s efforts to bolster the nighttime economy by boosting safety and will be supported by influencers including DJ Semtex, Jodie Harsh and Chelcee Grimes.
